the name "wirednerd"

I don't remember how I came up with this online identity. It probably seemed cool at the time. I think I originally meant it to mean that I was wired - as in connected to the internet - and that I was a nerd.

I created it to use on Yahoo! after other id's using a combination of my intials, first name, and last name were unavailable. Even my nickname wasn't available. Actually, I think I had my nickname and probably one combination using my last name as Yahoo! id's soon after it offered free email, but for whatever reason I stopped using them - eventually forgetting the passwords. I wasn't able to get them back and somehow came up with "wirednerd." According to my Yahoo! Profile, I created it on March 7, 1997.

On occassion I'll get asked what I'm "wired" on. I just say I'm wired on coffee or Red Bull. There are few others out there using this name too, but I think I may have been the first to use it.
